Belgian Waffle...

The fireworks display was a tremendous success thanks to the army of volunteers who put time and effort to organise it. Every year, it becomes that little more complicated to organise, but the team did a marvellous job. The promenade was heaving with on lookers to a point well beyond Tanskeys, and I saw a note from the RNLI stating they collected £2750 on the night which is great.

This was followed by another good turn out for the frostbite series on Sunday, despite a light and fluky wind, testing the Race Officer's patience.

I am on my way to Belgium this weekend and unfortunately will miss the prize giving. Congratulations to all who have won prizes, and a big thank you to all our Race Officers and rescue teams, who make sure the races can take place.
