University Freshers Weekend
Liverpool and Manchester University terms start this week and this weekend, 26/27th September, they will be introducing their Freshers to sailing at WKSC. Please make them welcome.
Star No. 8 Sirius recovered
Friday 18 September 2026 proved to be the day when all friends of West Kirby Sailing club came together to recover a Star boat, no 8 Sirius, stranded and badly damaged on the rocks.
I have unfortunately recovered many boats at West Kirby but today everyone responded without hesitation and helped to recover her.
This shows what a club of our quality can do when we all pull together.
I was proud to see and help over a dozen members bring Sirius back into the club battered and bruised but repairable.
On behalf of the owners and the Star Association thank you ,there is no need to name names you all know who you are, the pictures below show the effort put in.

Return your trophies!
That time of year has arrived again! Could I ask that all trophy winners return their trophies to the office before the end of September, clean and polished so we can present them again this year.
