Belgian Waffle... It is WKSC Regatta time! Our Hon. Sailing Secretary has planned 4 days of exciting sailing for us, both on the Dee Estuary and for the dinghies also on the lake. You can enter on line at https://members.wksc.org.uk/event/1031039 where you will also find the sailing instructions for each day of sailing and tabs to pre book the Sunday lunch feast. The forecast now looks a lot better: Thursday - 17 to 23 knots - Exciting! Friday - 8 to 12 knots - Perfect for a long distance race! Saturday - 15 to 19 knots - Champagne sailing! Sunday - 10 to 13 knots - Could not be better! There is BBQ planned for Saturday afternoon at DSC. Our own WKSC chef is doing his bit on Friday evening and of course we will have the lunch celebre on Sunday. This 4 day regatta is going to be epic. Even the sun is going to show its face, do not miss this. Commodores Cruise My thanks must go to Ben Shoebridge and Charles Hassett who braved solitude, the rain and cold temperatures at 05.00 on the Saturday morning to man the RIB for WKSC members. The weather did improve, temperatures increased, the rain went away, and a great time was had by all, especially with friends from Dee SC and Hoylake SC being there. Still some help was required to warm us up!! Thank you Hoylake SC to provide the lubricants. Jean-Louis Simons Acting Commodore. |
